No "Browse For Media Folder" button

Server Version#: 1.29.1.1974-a65b3ef3
Player Version#: 1.29.1.1974-a65b3ef3

So I haven’t used Plex in a few months and today I went ahead and reinstalled it and tried to run it. Previously, I had it linked to my network drive and has worked fine for years. However, when I reinstalled this time around I could see that no movies were populating. I went to check the drive and it’s all good on that end. So I went to install the app on my Mac, and same issue.

So I followed the “Creating Libraries” support document but I’m not seeing the “Browse For Media Folder” option when adding the Movies library option. I’ve checked every setting I could find to no avail. The drive shows up as a server just fine, but I can’t select the folders I need for the movies.

Any help would be appreciated.

There’s no “browse for media folder” button on the Plex Media Server for WD My Cloud Home. The libraries on that platform are hard-wired to the per-media-type “shared [media type]” folders by WD.

On all other platforms you’ll have that option when creating/editing a library.

Here’s a WD-specific Help page:

Was this updated recently? I’ve had my WD Cloud device running off Plex for a bit now without issues.

I believe it’s always been like this for WD My Cloud Home devices.
