No connection to QNAP Plex server

I’m working on an update to the QNAP installer for PMS which would prevent accidental loss of metadata.

I’m configuring it in such a way that:

  1. When PMS is uninstalled, the existing data is archived.
  2. Only the admin can access it.
  3. If the Admin (you) want a fresh installation, you delete it in File Station.
  4. When PMS installs, it will use a previously saved archive if it sees it.
  5. As admin, you can safely make a backup of that archive at any time (the files will be static )

Thoughts?

I like the default behavior. Remove is complete.
But I’d hate to be the one who loses their data.

Do you know whether the Appcenter Remove can be interactive,

  • asking the user whether to save the DB or restore it?
  • or asking the user are you sure as this will delete your database?
