No cover art when connected through ethernet on Shield pro

Using Nvidia Shield 2019 with WD external HDD.
No cover art when connected through ethernet on Shield pro. When I switch to wifi the cover art is there. I need to connect through the ethernet for reliable high speed connection. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Movies and trailers will play fine. I am not seeing a place on the shield settings for the plex server to update meta data or cover art. Can any one tell me what is happening and how to fix this?

When I log in remotely from my pc the art work is present.
