Nvidia Shield - No Artwork

Any ideas when the bug that’s doesn’t show Music artwork will be fixed on the Nvidia Shield server?

its been like it for months now and its becoming a real pain in the ■■■■…

Is there another thread where this bug was confirmed by someone? I’m not aware of this issue.

Are you kidding me? I feel like this has been brought up like 10 times over the past month. This happen almost EVERY day to me and have just got to the point where I have to GO to the web, click on the cover art… ADD it cause it’s already there and move on.

Again, please point me to a thread.

OK

Thread

Thanks. So it’s about local media artwork. @goat999, can you confirm that your issue is related to local artwork too?

All my media is on a Synology NAS.

Movies/Tv Shows are fine but not music.
If I edit and look at posters the poster is there, once selected artwork will then show

I have plex running on the nas and all artwork is fine.

Checked share permissions on my music folder - all good

So has no one got any solution to this then?

Whats the difference between Plex Support and a broken jock strap?

You still get far better support from the broken jock strap…

Its not supposed to be a joke, a bit like your support isn’t supposed to be…

you might as well close this thread. ■■■■■■■ pointless leaving it open.

Yea… would at least be nice to get a response to this. Happen almost every time I add an Album. The cover Art is there but I have to log in, click on it and add it. I have spend probably 48 hours or so working on all this stuff. I have to remote into my PC from work just to get it done.

ASiDiE, I think there is more chance of us two meeting, falling in love, having 30 children and winning the lottery then there is of Plex Support ever resolving this issue.

Where do you live? - I’ll pop round and see if you would make a suitable mummy for my 30 kids ?

Well I found the solution to this. You need to subscribe.

@ Plex Support - Dont you think it would be nice if you could make users aware what features you can be bothered to fix and which ones you cant for users that dont subscribe?

I don’t get it. What was your solution. Being a Plex Pass member should have nothing to do with this.

I told you what my solution was - as soon as I subscribed and refreshed metadata - hey presto - artwork back.

I’ve just deleted library and then created a basic library - no artwork.

Deleted library and created a premium library - artwork is there.

So over to you guys to suss out why Premium works and Basic doesnt…

Ah ok. Premium library versus regular. That’s the part I didn’t understand. Will check it out, thanks.

so has this problem been corrected for the next release?

I would like someone to respond to this, because I don’t think it’s that easy. I recently got a Nvidia Shield pro and when setting up my music I went with Premium on my music library. I use Plex for Music and pretty much only music. I still have the issue as well. I will add like 2 or 3 albums. I will see they have not artist artwork or album artwork and then I have to GO in and see what is there. Sure enough, I see there is artist artwork as well as album artwork but it’s just not selected. Sometimes it will show 3 to 5 album cover arts that are pretty much all the same other than quality. WHY is it not picking one of these. Anyway, I could go on and on but it would nice for Plex to finally figure out what is going on.
