No DVR option in server

Hi, I’ve just gone and brought a HomeRun device so I can use the DVR feature. However, there is no way for me to set up the DVR in the server as per the instructions - I have no DVR option in the menu. I’ve just installed the latest Plex Pass version of 1.2.2.2857.

Plex DVR is a special beta version. You need to download and install the version for your OS shown in this thread

Thanks for that.

However, it will not overwrite the existing software because I will
technically be downgrading the build.

If I uninstall, will my library and settings stay in tact when I install
the beta version?

Are you on Windows?
If so uninstall the current version then install the Beta

Doing a standard Windows uninstall, you will not lose any settings or libraries

I have just bought the homerun dvr and cannot set it up as per the instructions runnning it through my Netgear Ready NAS 102 storage. Do I have to deinstall and install as per the above posts. The Plex app on the readynas seems to need an update so I can create the dvr within plex.

Setting up DVR beta 4 for the first time. downloaded and running v1.3.3.3148 and there does not appear to be a DVR beta selection in settings\server. I went to this link for the software: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/230212/

I agree with dantrudo, I have Version 1.3.3.3148 installed and no DVR icon appears.

I’m in the same boat, just downloaded the latest release and I have an active plex pass subscription, but not DVR Icon is appearing.

Scroll up and read the ‘Accepted Answer’
Version 1.3.3.3148 does not contain the DVR function.

I’ve tried installing Beta Four (1.2.0.3167) several times and I don’t see a DVR option under Settings. I was pretty excited to pick up s Plex Pass and HDHR Connect, but my hopes and dreams are fading. Any advice?

a year later and still no dvr option? Running the latest software on nvidia shield and no go. This is sort of a bust unless I"m doing something wrong. I thought a big reason to use plex was to cut the cord and get dvr affordably.
