Server Version#: plexmediaserver 1.19.3.2852-219a9974e amd64 (Linux)
Player Version#: Web Player - Version 4.30.2 (Although, it happens in all players)
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRUn Prime
Guide/Lineup name: Zap2it.com (Also happens with TVGuide.com)
Using XMLTV?: Yes
Channel number/Name: All HD Channels
Background: I live in Puerto Rico (US Territory), zip code 00959. There is no EPG available from plex for my area code, so I use XMLTV. I source my xmltv file from Zap2it, although I have the same problem if I use TVGuide.
Issue: When I go to Live TV & DVR > Guide > HD Channels Only, it says the guide is empty (all channels are recognized as SD).
However, if I go to Settings > Live TV & DVR > Manage Channels, I see that nearly half my channels are correctly recognized by the HDHR Tuner as HD, with a small “HD” badge on the right side.
Musings of a madman: Would it be possible to:
a) Manually select which channels I want to categorize as HD?
b) Use the Tuner’s (correct) list of HD channels?
c) Most of the channels have either “SD” or “HD” in their tuner-based name, could that be used to identify the HD channels?
d) Import the HDHomeRun’s EPG data from Silicondust into the Plex EPG?
e) (Probably the easiest alternative) Request to add Puerto Rico lineups to Plex EPGs?
PS: My cable provider’s name, as listed on Zap2it, is “Liberty Cablevision-OneLink Metro - Digital (00959)”
