No Library Sections

My problem is, all I can get on my television with the Plex App is “No Library Sections”. I’ve been fighting with this for almost a week.

I moved Plex from one computer to another following the instructions at “https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201370363-Move-an-Install-to-Another-System”.

Everything loaded up perfectly on my Plex Media Server and on the Plex Web App, and my family and I even watched a movie for 45 minutes at which time we got “this video is not available” and the “no ibrary sections” and that is what we’ve been getting for 5 days now.

Eventually, I just wiped out Plex completely and decided to try installing Plex like new and just re-uploading everything (I tried uploading a small library).

Everything loaded up perfectly on my Plex Media Server and on the Plex Web App, but when I turn on the television and select the Plex App I get “No Library Sections”.

I have an old television that has composite audio/video ports, and a Roku1. It worked fine for 20 months and suddenly nothing I do will get it to work. When I try to play my Plex App I get a message that there are no Library Sections

My Operating System is Windows 10; my version of Plex was 1.2.3.2914. I uninstalled that and went back as far as 0.9.1603.1840 because I was told that the latest version of Plex for Roku would not work with the composite audio/video ports. That didn’t work either.

I’ve done so much stuff over the past few days the I can’t even remember everything I’ve done.

I appreciate the help everyon offered (If you suggested it, I did it). I’m hoping someone with enough knowledge of Plex can tell me what I can do to fix this problem.

maybe stupid question, are you sure you don’t have 2 server set up and running at the same time one with libraries(the moved one) and one without libraries(the old one) with eventually the same name?
via the web app http://yourserverip:yourserverport you can see the libraries?

The old one isn’t running at all. The coputer it was on died, but I had everything backed up. I’m not sure what to look for at http://yourserverip:yourserverport but I looked at everything and didn’t see my libraries.

In my case i can access to my server via browser with 192.168.x.x:32400

If u not see libraries there maybe you have to recreate them

I tied recreating the libraries and still got No Library Sections.

Try uninstalling Plex from windows and delete all Plex folder on various program files, user>app data etc I don’t know how much skilled you are but tomorrow I can write to you some path

I did that several times and got the same results. I did try it on a someone else’s computer running win 8.1 and the Plex App worked just fine. On my computer (win 10) the app isn’t seeing my server.

But isn’t seeing server or libraries?

@sunny0ne - Please do not post the same issue more than once. You have two parallel threads running for the same problem

I am closing this thread - leaving the Plex Media Server Windows forum thread
