Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639
QNAP Firmware#: QTS 5.1.4.2596
I am no longer able to backup, copy, or zip my PlexData share or any of this folder’s contents on my QNAP NAS. I get an error “Unable to perform this action. You do not have enough permissions, or this folder is read-only.” I am logged into my server’s default “admin” account and have stopped PMS and rebooted the NAS.
I have gotten this error in the past and was able to circumvent it using the various methods discussed in this thread (QNAP PlexData share help -- Read Only).
Methods that used to work for me and now do not:
Activating the default admin account and doing the zip/copy in QNAP filestation from that account instead of my personal admin account.
Accessing the PlexData share folder via mounted drive in Windows and copying/zipping from Windows File Explorer.
I’m guessing QNAP tightened up some security feature and that is now inhibiting my ability to do this using these methods. Any help is appreciated… I’m nervous about not being able to create a backup of any of the files in my PlexData share folder. If anyone has any other methods that still work, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks for the quick reply! Good to know you and the QNAP folks are aware of the issue and it is being worked.
I had searched the forum earlier to see if others were having the same issue, but apparently I’m bad at searching… In case it helps anyone else, the other forum post is here:
