No longer able to play any media!

Player Version#: 4.29.2

I think this problem started when I upgraded to the latest server, but I’m not sure.

I can no longer play music or movies using the desktop player. The play button switches to a pause button, but there is no sound and the time counter doesn’t advance.

I have the same problem with Plex Web, but only for hi-res music files (above 48kHz sampling rate, as far as I can tell so far).

I’m using Windows 7, x64, and Firefox on the client side and a Synology NAS for the server.

Everything plays OK using my Roku box or my Android phone.

Any suggestions?

It happened to me and I had to rollback PMS version to 1.22.3.4392.
Did you find a cure since then?
