No metadata for new episodes/movies

Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem since a few days. I have about 4000 episodes in my library and 250 movies, which all are okay. But since a few days, newly added movies and episodes do not get meta data. Cover and fan art are fine, but the description and episode names are not displayed.

Dor example, this is how episodes are stored:
The Wire - S01E01 - The Target.mkv

Plex now only shows the series The Wire, the series does have a description, but when I go into season one, all episodes are named “Episode 1, Episode 2, etc.” Normally each episode would get a description and a normal name, but that stopped since a few days, I did not change anything in the settings or what so ever (at least not that I’m aware of).

Also some newly download movies do not receive the year they aired, and the description… Some new movies did not get the cover art either, but not all of them had that issue. Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
I’ve already searched the forum, but I only found some old topics and none of them seemed to contain an answer.

I manage to solve this problem by going to Settings > Server > Agents. Over there I checked more options under both shows and movies, after I did that, I’ve performed a refresh and metadata update, now everything seems to be going just fine :smile:

TheTVDB has been having service issues for the past day or so and this does impact our metadata collection. tvdb2.plex.tv is a proxy for TheTVDB service
