Metadata collection for new episodes stopped

Since the last 4 days any new episode I add for TV shows no longer gets any metadata added. It does still match to the same show, but it won’t add title, thumbnail, descriptions or anything anymore. It just names the item as episode # and leaves everything else empty.
I have Plex Series set up as the agent to grab the data, and it all worked fine up until a few days ago when nothing got updated anymore.
I have also tried to refresh metadata for the affected shows, but that did nothing.

I’m also facing the same issue since a couple of weeks. Newly added TV shows & movies sometimes fail to download the metadata.

Server Version#:1.32.5.7349
Running on a Synology DS220+ through docker

Looking at the console, while manually triggering the metadata update of a movie, I see the following error :

MetadataAgentPostProcessor: failed to find agent for identifier tv.plex.agents.movie

For some reason, unlike a week ago when I first tried, restarting the server and refreshing the metadata for the affected shows worked this time around. Maybe that helps for you as well @watchsebo

Yeah it really is kind of random on my side. I have Plex media server configured to restart every night. Some days it starts works again, then stops working a couple of days later etc …

Same issue here until I see your post (after asking Plex team on X). Few days ago agents stopped fetching the metadata (for both movies and TV shows). I tried o lot of things to solve the issue (including creating new librairies) but never stop/start the PMS (on a Syno NAS). Long story short, thank you.
