No metadata for TV episodes since weeks/months

I’ve found scattered information online, but haven’t found a fix yet. I noticed that since weeks my PMS does not pull any descriptions for tv episodes anymore. I haven’t changed anything in the Agents section, and I’ve read online that there were TheTVDB api issues late last year… but no idea if this is the cause?

The “fix” was to update to a version newer than 1.18.3 which you’ve done.

If you can force a refresh of the metadata for the items missing metadata
then wait 4-5 minutes for it to complete (it is a silent background task)
lastly, download the logs (ZIP file) and attach here.

I will inspect the logs.

Also, Please share the exact naming and structure you have so I may test/replicate here.

The filename is: “The Walking Dead - S10E09 - Squeeze (WEBDL-1080p h264 EAC3 5.1).mkv”

Your logs show a failure to retrieve.
I created it now and obtained an instant match.

Let’s clear it out.

  1. Stop PMS
  2. File Station - >Plex / Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server / Plug-in Support
  3. Remove the entire contents of Caches but keep the directory
  4. Remove the entire contents of Data but keep the directory (DO NOT DELETE Databases)
  5. Restart PMS
  6. Force refresh on all the metadata.
  7. Everything local will just spin a moment then the poster will Flip-Flop.
