I have attached my current debug log, taken just now. If there is anything else you need from me, please let me know.
I have been having a similar problem but have found a way to get it working…
Ok, try this please.
Remove files (Cut and Paste) the entire classic Doctor Who library to another folder.
Update Library, Empty Trash, Stop PMS, Start PMS
Create a folder in your TV library:
“\Doctor Who\Season 01”
copy the first episode of season one into this folder with the name as shown below (if you done have this episode just fake it by using some other episode) and of course add the extension for the file type you have:
“Doctor Who - S01E01 - An Unearthly Child (1)”
Then Update Library.
Does that work for you?
I will try it and post my result here soon. Thank you so much for responding!

There is currently still an issue with downloading metadata for long-running tv shows (i.e. those with lots of episdoes).
Expect some improvement in the next server version.

Look like northernpal’s method works!..if you go slow and copy a few episodes at a time.
As soon as I tried to copy a bunch of Seasons, the metadata would not load completely. So, I removed the show completely and then, followed the steps. Then, I added each episode one at a time for Season 01. This takes longer but, it results in all the metadata loading.
Now, this works for the classic Doctor Who episodes. I am going to try removing all of The Simpsons episodes and then, adding them slowly by Season. I will post the results later.
Ok, as a followup, I was able to add up to 21 seasons with the method I mentioned above. Actually I stared doing one season at a time and it worked ok… until season 21. I could not for the life of me get Seasons 21 to 26 to get metadata. I have spent two many hours on this and am going to wait and hope they (PLEX) get this working properly. Glad this method has at least helped some folks…
This is just to update in case anyone is still having this or similar problems.
After updating PMS to 1.1.3.2700 this is still a problem.
Using PMS 1.1.3.2700, I just added all 26 seasons at once, with clear caches. It took ~15 minutes of almost constant download traffic at ~1.5mbps on a fairly fast Intel i7 PC.
You might want to try this.
clear the http cache of the TheTVDB agent, then repeat the test.

Thanks OttoKernerOttoKerner, I did as you suggested and finally got all 26 Seasons added.
