No metadata or artwork in FreeBSD jail

So the good thing is I see no error in scanner and tvdb logs, but the sytem bundle log does shows some errors:

However this is just for some requests, and most part actually return 200 Ok, which means it might simply be to much load on tvdb at that time.

Also at least on the last log those are all from the same show.

Could you please try and got to Settings -> Troubleshooting -> Clean bundle? See if that helps?

I’ll keep digging into the logs see If I spot anything else in the mean time.

Btw if possible could you share a screenshot of how you see the items in the library? (Feel free to DM if you don’t want to post publicly)

yes, I only tried to refresh data for one of the shows, as I thought you asked me to. What I did next (this morning) was to delete the library, move the files to a temp spot, include the library folder (which had no files in it). empty the trash, clean the bundle, then move files in, and rescan.

It appears to be pulling posters for the same ones as before. When it finishes, I will upload the logs again.

thanks for your continued support and guidance. I think it must be something outside of my plex setup. It just happened to be the worst time to make a new jail, and install plexmediaserver.

I was just about to comment that other logs shows the same show still

Yeah it seems that some of those requests failed at the time but not all, however the failing ones did return a 522 but this might not have anything to do with why you dind’t see metadata before

My best guess is that after you enabled vnet all is good, but you hit a issue with tvdb at the time which was just bad timing

Hopefully now all is good!

Still you now know you’re jails need to be 11.2 and run vnet so there’s at least that.

Btw you can move over the old db/plexdata from a previous setup, you just need to move over /usr/local/plexdata (or -plexpass if that’s the case) to the new jail.

I will have to see if I saved the jail or not. The previous install had other issues where I couldn’t access the server settings…

Here are the logs after an hour or so of waiting.
I’ll have to wait for theTVDB to fix itself.
What is weird is I can manually see the artwork for the ones not downloaded on the TVdb site, but PlexmediaServer must not (via API)…
Plex Media Server Logs_2019-08-03_14-00-31.zip (5.6 MB)

I stopped the plexmediaserver, then went into /usr/local/plexdata/ and based on another user’s suggestion in the server-windows topics ( https://forums.plex.tv/t/no-metadata-from-tvdb-and-moviedb/440755/35?u=supercazzola ) emptied caches in /Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Caches/ ( rm -rf on both com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb and com.plexapp.agents.themoviedb ) and for the most part, I am no longer seeing this issue after restarting the plexmedia server.

Ah I though you were saying earlier that it was already working!

FYI you can have it clear cache periodically, enabled it in the server settings (schedule tasks)
