I’m currently running 1.1.2.2680 on a dedicated Windows 10 pc with ample amount of storage space (which I doubt even matters in this case). Every time I add a new movie, Plex will always find the movie information, but it never finds the movie poster any longer. I’ve even gotten better at the naming guidelines, following it to a T. When I do a manual match, the movie is always found with 100% certainty, but again, it still won’t download the movie posters. This just started happening about two months ago. Is there something I need to check to find out what the issue is?
There was an issue with 1.0.3 which took a bit to sort out fully.
What finally became of that, plus a number of other outstanding issues, is absolutely rock solid metadata and artwork / image download. This the publicly available 1.1.3.
It has been observed that some of the use-cases require a metadata ‘Refresh All’ (located under the cog in the upper right corner while viewing the library)
The fixes include fixes for > 54 episodes in a season, non-english language with english fallback for metadata, and just about anything related to metadata. I could go on but you get the idea.
Thanks ChuckPA! I’ll go get that version immediately. Something must be wrong with my medication, as I’m not certain where I keep downloading these older versions from. I somehow installed (on this new machine) 1.0.0.2261 and then realized that was older than what I had on my older machine. So I then downloaded/installed 1.1.2.2680 on August 30th thinking it was the latest. Guess with my old age I’m starting to lose it. Thanks again!
lol… it’s not your meds… I checked mine too. The bug fixes just happened to all come at once and a bunch of them hit back to back
Just to double check BOTH of our medications ONE point ONE point THREE
After doing the update last night, I found that Refreshing helped all movies that were already scanned. However, I didn’t have any new ones to add to test that. This morning I added a new movie, and unfortunately it still would not load the movie poster.
Refreshing didn’t help. However, when I went in and performed “Fix Incorrect Match” the first option it pulled up corrected the issue.
That is actually a step in the right direction compared to what I was dealing with yesterday. However, it still isn’t automatically added.
I updated the My Passport Wireless Pro 3TB to 1.1.3.2700 and Plex just lost all artwork in my test library. Refresh all and reset database does nothing. I get movie metadata but no artwork. Frustrating because I have Local Media Assets as the top option and have the relevant folder.jpg/poster.jpg and background.jpg files in the movie folders. I believe I had 1.0.3 prior to upgrading and that one had no issue using local artwork.
I’m finding that movies I finally found movie posters for just yesterday are lost again today.

Please show us how (copy/paste) you have them named and tell us what version of PMS you are using (still 1.1.3) and you didn’t change any agents?
I apologize for just getting to this. I forgot to check if anyone had responded until today.
I am running 1.1.4.2757. I just downloaded the manual update to 1.2.7.2987 and will update to that later tonight. @leschan said it exactly how it is happening to me. I’ll get metadata (sometimes), and no poster. I just added Sixteen Candles to my server, and even after the time between our posts, it is still happening on every movie I add. When this happens, I have to do a “Fix Incorrect Match” at least 3 times, sometimes much more. I’ll provide how I have it named below, as well as some screenshots. You’ll notice that they have the same exact issues as the one I screenshot back in September.
