Issue: When I add a movie, within it’s own folder and named exactly as the guide instructs, no metadata is gathered and only a still shot of the movie is used as the poster. Running Fix Incorrect Match the first time will usually grab the movie information, but not the movie poster. I then have to run Fix Incorrect Match multiple times (minimum 3, most I remember was about 6-7) to get the poster to be added. Sometimes only 1 poster is added and the remainder poster spots are empty outlines of a poster… when this happens the poster isn’t visible on anything other than the server itself.
This unfortunately started for me back on 1.1.2.2680.
Updating to 1.2.7.2987 didn’t solve the issue.
Updating to 1.3.3.348 this week didn’t solve the issue either.
I’ve attached an image with several screen grabs of my setup. The only screen grab I forgot to include was how the individual Movie library was setup.
Include in dashboard (CHECKED)

Enable video preview thumbnails (UNCHECKED)

Can anyone tell if there is something blatantly set incorrectly?
Added after original post: Not sure if this even matters, but is there a suggested limit to the movies inside a single library?
I don’t see anything in your agent settings. I use Sub-Zero subtitles so have that in my list, but your settings look like mine otherwise.
Edit library settings, where mine differ or possible differ.

Astrofisher… thanks for taking the time to respond! I tried changing my library settings to how you’ve got them configured, but unfortunately the issue still persists.
CORRECTION: The changes made did bring down the movie information automatically when added to the library. But still not the posters or extras.
Added 4 videos this morning. Not one pulled down the posters or extras.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is empty because I ran “Fix Incorrect Match” once. It repulled the movie information, but removed the still image, leaving it blank since it didn’t grab the actual poster.
I tried (to the best of my ability) to scan my log files, and found where the agents were looking for posters for Max Max, but after every fetch there was a “Not caching”/“content type ‘image/jpeg’ not cacheable in Agent plug-ins”.
I’m seeing a lot of these lines one after the other
DEBUG networking:166 Requesting
DEBUG networking:198 Not caching
Do these mean anything? I’m very eager to get this back running smoothly as I know it can/should.
How about trying something. Perform the Plex Dance on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005). It’s a movie I have in my library, so I will do the same. Grab all your logs and attach and I’ll compare to my logs. Maybe I can spot where things go astray by comparing your logs to mine.
To make things easier for me to follow in the logs - make sure nobody is playing anything and:
Exit the server and wait one minute for Plex to shutdown.
Restart the server and give it 3 minutes to perform any startup tasks
Perform the Plex Dance on the movie and give Plex 5 minutes to try and match and scrape metadata.
Grab the logs (Settings> Server> Help> Download logs) and attach the resultant zip file to your next post.
Astrofisher… thanks again for jumping in to help. My wife and daughters are watching a movie at the moment, so I can’t do it just yet (if I want to live). But as soon as they are done, I’ll follow the steps and post the logs.
