Hi there. I had a running system to view my content from my cloud home anywhere outside my network. Since a couple of days I can’t get Plex connect to the internet anymore without having changed anything, I ve been trying a lot and since then but nothing worked.
It occasionally says it would be accessible from outside but there’s is no ip connection in the graphic below.
It appears there has been an update. Is this the cause, again?..
Do you have static ip and port forwarding set for the NAS that’s running the server?
I might check on this. But the thing is: The system was runing fine until approx 2 weeks. I did not change anything.
Possibly a reboot or loss of connection could cause you IP address to change. I have a my cloud NAS but only use it for storage. I run a PMS on a computer or NVIDIA Shield and has run great for me.
Plex Remote for My cloud home was working fine here too until 1-2 weeks. Static ip and port forwarding are still set as it used to be.
When I play around and keep klicking on activate remote access sometimes it will say I am available outside the network for about 5 secs then it will switch back to red and saying no I am not available outside the network.
Then again it says I am availabe outside on the top of the screen but in the lower part there are not any IP-Adresses.. See the attached pic. Thats so weird..
