No remote access to PMS. Help!

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Windows 10 Home

I have been having all kind of issues with PMS connecting remotely. It seems to connect for a second and then automatically shows remote access disabled. I have tried port forwarding and followed all the steps on the troubleshooting and it still keeps failing.

I have attached the server logs if anyone can shine some form of light upon here it would make me smile somewhat!

HI Otto, Thanks for the advice. Unfortuantely I have tried this and nothing. It flashes on for a second and then just goes straight back to remote access not accessible. I’m absolutely at my wits end with this! I’ve used port redirection for the port forwading but canyouseeme does not show it as open. I’ve checked with my IT manager where I work and he has confirmed all settings should be as they are. I can’t understand why it was working and it has just stopped!

maybe something else is using your port, change that

If the port test fails, then there is either

  • no port forwarding at all in effect
  • the port forwarding is pointing to the wrong machine (happens when your computer gets a different internal IP)
  • the firewall rules of your local computer have changed (in Windows there is ‘private’ and ‘public’ classification for a network adapter. ‘Public’ means all ports are closed/blocked)
  • any other corporate filtering system (but only your network administrator can answer that)

Hi Guys,

Appreciate the input. All port forwarding was absolutely fine and as it should be, it turns out that my ISP had changed the underlying network provider from Vodafone to Talk Talk and for some reason, Talk Talk do not allow Plex remote access to work. Guess it’s how their network is configured? Anyhoo’s, changed ISP back to Vodafone directly and hey presto, all is perfect again!
