I have downloaded the Xbox One App, updated my Plex Media Server to the latest version and purchased my PlexPass but I'm still getting the error on the Xbox One app saying "no servers found - server version 0.9.10.3 or higher required".
I have noticed a lot of people have had the same issue and have had some success with restarting their console, quitting the app and reopening it, etc. I have tried all of these things and still get the same error. I have tried uninstalling the Plex Media Server from my Windows 8 laptop and reinstalling and still nothing.
I have tried all the different things in the settings part on the Plex web page like going to the "connect" tab and making sure I'm logged in, removing any old servers, etc, and I still get the same error.
Is anyone else having this same problem still? does anyone have any other ideas of what I could try?
I had this issue too.. when you are in the plex downloads there is a link for public releases and also for plex pass users. When I updated was the public downloads until I found the plex pass download. By downloading this version it will recognize it on your x1. Because it is a pay release for xbox right now is why you have to upgrade to the plex pass version of the server.
I have have downloaded the plex pass download and I am on the correct server version, but my Xbox One won't see the server. All my other computers and tablets see the sever.
I have this problem. Tell it to try again and while it is searching hit right on the d-pad. This will open that menu in the top right corner. For me this shows the server the app should have found. Hit "a" and plex should load up.
I signed up, paid money, and downloaded the Plex Pass version. My dowload version is 0.9.1101.678
Repeated uninstalls and reinstalls of the media server on my PC and the Xbox One app haven't made any difference. Tigertron's tip above about searching again and hitting right also had no effect.
The server itself looks fine on my PC and I've added files without issue.
Is your server published, within plex.tv? So if you go to plex.tv and login, can you see your media server there?.I believe there is some connection there to authorise the fact you have plex pass enabled. Once its mapped there the xbox quickly checks there, and then locally finds your media as it should. ( I'm pretty sure thats what someone said before in another thread on here)
