I'm sorry to say that you're not up to date. You need to run the latest Plex Pass release of Plex Media Server, which is 0.9.10.3. You can get this at our download page, please remember to hit the "Plex Pass" button at the top.

Ian

Already did that, still the same error.

ooooh :) plex pass only release :) sneaky didn't see the plex pass button.

Thanks all sorted.

IanB!, this is not the answer.

I just downloaded latest plex build from "plex pass" section (version 0.9.10.3.665-c9109e2) and still have the same error on my Xbox One.

I'm running OS X Yosemite public beta 4.

I'm sorry it's not working... Can you please try "Quit"ing the application (via the context menu from the home screen) and try again? It sounds like it's not being refreshed after you upgraded your server.

Ian

Ian, that did it. I quit the application and relaunched it as you suggested, and everything popped right up.

Thanks for the help, and being there within the first 20 minutes of launch to help us out.

No worries, glad it's working! Just very keen to get things off to a good start, although not sure how long I can keep this pace up for :)

Ian

It would be pretty cool if the check for updates checked for plexpass updates if you are logged in and have plexpass.  Just saying..

I think it's been talked about previously, but i'll mention it again to the server team.

Sorry Carlos, but I don't know what "Windows Media Player Preview" is. Also, the version number you posted is not the version number of Plex Media Server. Can you please check the version via Plex/Web and let me know what it is? Also, have you tried what was suggested earlier in the post? i.e. quitting the app and starting again?

Ian

no its not but it is on my xb1 media player app and on my smart tv.

edit. got it sorted my server wasnt showing in plex/tv i got it to show in there and it appeared on the console.

Ian

i think he means the media player app within the xbox one

yes it is also visible to the xb1 media player app and on my smart tv, i wouldnt mind so much but i purchased the plex pass just for this.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue, a few suggestions:

  • Use Plex/Web to confirm that you definitely are running v0.9.10.3
  • Check via plex.tv (in the server list) that it also knows that your server is that version
  • Try quitting the application from the context menu on the home screen
  • Try rebooting the device.

I would have hoped at least one of those would work. If it doesn't, we'll get to the bottom of it!

Ian

HI Lan

I  did try all the above and still not able to connect, when I said Windows Media Player I mean the Xbox One Media Player Preview ..

I did what you asked and yes I did quit the APP and restart several times still no luck. I even uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working ??

This the Version it shows after loging into the Plex Web Site ( Plex/Web )  it shows 0.9.9.12. 504-3e7f93c

Thanks
