No soup for you! Needs tech support

Hi,

I have synology RS1619XS+ server running in data centre network. Data centre provided me with a static IP address which I assigned to Synology DSM as static ip. I can access the DSM of RS1619XS+ and other Synology Apps via static ip that is provided by data centre.

However I have problem with accessing the Plex Media Server.

When i open the Plex Media server running under DSM of my RS1619XS+ NAS, I am getting following message:

“No soup for you!
The server you’re trying to access doesn’t want to let you in. Make sure you’re signed in as a user with access to this server.”

Usually on a local home network Plex Media Server would detect the NAS with no problem.

But this is what is happening on my RS1619XS+ that is currently running in the data centre network.

I need technical advice as synology told me to contact plex and synology have no support on plex media server running on their DSM of their NAS.

Could anyone give me some advice on what to do to fix this problem?

Cheers

Regards

I take it you want to complete the installation of the Plex Media Server that is hosted in a separate network.
To complete the installation and link the Plex Media Server with your account, you need to locally connect to it. As you’re in a different network, you can achieve that by establishing a SSH tunnel first.
See “Opening the Plex Web App on a Device Other than the Server Itself” > “On a different network” in the support article related to Plex Media Server installation; this will guide you on how to do this based on your OS:

I am keep getting error as below screen shot!
