No Soup for you! You do not have access to this server

Server Version#: 1.21.0-3744
Player Version#:

Synology :DS920+, DSM 7.0-41890

Hi, It appears I have messed up a new installation of Plex Media Server (PMS) on my Synology DS920+, I keep getting “No Soup for you! You don’t have access to this server”. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing PMS but I get the same error. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks , I have done this (PMS version 1.23.6.4881-700) and I now get the following message “Not Authorized you do not have access to this server”

Thanks , can you just clarify what you mean by run the Plex Installer again? Is this done by selecting manual install in package center and selecting the downloaded package again?

Thanks @trumpy81 that’s sorted it. Is there any way in Synology to change the URL that Synology has assigned the Plex Media Server which uses quickconnect?

@Kit66

You should probably reach out to Synology on that.
It may be something they do by design when QuickConnect is enabled.

I do not have it here. This is what I see for the URL

If this behavior is by design, I recommend making a browser bookmark (what I do anyway)

Nice one cheers understood. Many thanks for your help

Thanks, noted.

Hi, I have exact same setup, DS920+ and want to have Plex on it.

Thanks a lot for tip that we should not use Plex from Package Center, but rather directly download it from Plex website.

I now have newest version of the system: DSM 7.0-41890
and when I try to manually install latest available build: PlexMediaServer-1.24.1.4931
it says that "Package requires DSM 7.0.4000 or older

looks I will have to wait for Plex package to be suitable for my DSM version?!
