No soup for you! / You do not have access to this server on Synylogy NAS D920+

I tried to install Plex Media Server on my Synology NAS D920+. It was Running DSM 7 latest version. I got the following issue when I ran Plex. I was trying to uninstall and reinstall. but it doesn’t work. Any Advice?

You can’t use QuickConnect while setting up.
(DSM 7 makes it look like you’re remote when you’re not and PMS prohibits remote claiming with remote WAN IPs)

ALSO 1.21.0.3744 is the old, no longer valid, BETA package which Synology won’t update.

Please do the following:

1. Uninstall the package with ERASE option to remove 1.21.0.3744 completely

2. go to http://www.plex.tv/downloads

3. Download the Public (PMS 1.29.2) DSM 7 package for your machine

4. Manual Install the SPK file you’re given

5. At the menu, select New or Lost radio buttons (Plex Claim Token method)

6. Click the hyperlink to Get Plex Claim token

7. COPY the token from the browser tab which opens

8. Return to the install menu and PASTE the token into the form.

9. Click NEXT NEXT DONE and allow it to install.

10. If networking is all good, after it gets new credentials and completes installing, you’ll see Installation is successful AND you’ll see “Claimed by: Your Plex Username”
