Synology DS1520+ Plex Server Setup Issues

Server Version#:1.21.0-3744
Player Version#:4.43.4
I am trying to set up plex on my new Synology DS1520+ I’m using the package center to install plex and installing the only package available which is a beta package. When I open the plex media server app it redirects me to a plex login page, I created an account and logged in with that account, now it just says “no soup for you! You do not have access to this server”. I have not found any way to fix this and even if I uninstall and reinstall plex it does the same thing, what do I need to do to fix this and finish the setup?

You should install the current released version of Plex Media Server.

Scroll to the bottom of this page. Click on Plex Media Server. Download the package for your NAS, Intel 64-bit, DSM 7 version.

Perform a manual installation using Package Center. Click the Manual Install button, then choose the file you downloaded.

After installation completes, use a incognito/private browser window pointed directly at the Plex server: http://syno_ip_address:32400/web, substituting the real IP address of your NAS.

Due to a quirk in DSM 7, you have to use the direct method for initial setup. You cannot click on the “Open” button in Package Center, use app.plex.tv, etc.

Once you have claimed the server, you can then use app.plex.tv, etc to manage the system.
