I think its horrible that Plex media server for Windows does not support symlinks but yet smaller companies like Emby and Jellyfin do. I mean how hard would it be for Plex to add this feature it would help us out a great deal. I mean bad enough you guys are charging $750 for lifetime plex pass but yet lack alot of features that make Emby and Jellyfin a viable option.
Have you tried hard llinks? They are supposed to work better
hardlinks doesnt work with network drives and I use a cloud drive mounted with rclone for my videos. Hardlinks require the link be on the same drive
To be honest, until I saw your post, I didn’t even know Windows could do sym links or hard links, lol.
