No tracks being displayed in album

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7349
Player Version#: 10.1.0.4214

This started happening a while ago but you could normally resolve it by closing the app and restarting it. But now I seen to permanently unable to access these tracks.

I have a Audio Music library where I archive audio commentary from my discs. Ones that have lots of tracks seem to now tell me how many tracks there are but don’t actually display them for playback

It only seems to be the two I have a full series worth of commentary tracks for that seem to have an issue. Movies with 2 or 3 tracks don’t.

If I look on the server itself the tracks display properly in the web UI.

Please show the file names, the embedded meta tags, as well as the folder structure where the files are stored in.

So I was just messing around in the app and decided to hit Play All and when I look at the queue each individual is listed there. When I cleared the queue all the tracks suddenly appeared.

Edit:

If close the app and swipe it out of the tray and reopen the app the tracks are gone again.

  1. do you have these in a separate library from your music? Or are these in the same library?
  2. these screenshots only illustrate how they appear in plex. They don’t show if and how the files are tagged.

Isn’t what is being described here this long standing issue with the android mobile/tablet app just in this example its with tracks rather than episodes → 9.23.0.1746 Episodes not showing up on show details ?

Yes they are in a separate audio library specifically for commentary tracks so I can enable the remember position option.

Yes dokuro these do seem very similar although I have yet to see this with TV episodes. I am seeing the same thing on my tablet and both are Samsung devices as mentioned in topic you linked to. I just installed Plex on a iPad all the tracks are displaying as they should be.

I assume that you have added the folder Audio books to be the root of this library, right?
If that is the case, then I recommend you to insert a folder for each “Album Artist” you have in your library. Since this is a “Music”-type of library, you better follow its rules stricitly – particularly if you have albums which are not present on musicbrainz.org

Which would mean in this case:

/volume1
   /Music
      /Audio books
/Star Trek TNG <-- "Album Artist"
/Star Trek TNG Commentary <-- "Album"
               [files]

I have done as you have suggested and added a Artist Folder

Audio books/Star Trek TNG/Star Trek - TNG - Commentary/Star Trek- The Next Generation - S02E09 - The Measure of a Man.mp3

On Android Mobile devices it still won’t display the tracks, but on IOS and Android TV it does display the items. This really seems like an issue with the Plex Android Mobile client.

If I change libraries in PlexAmp mobile client these files display there too.

I have made a video to demo the issue and how it looks like it is a display issue as you can make the files appear by adding them all to a queue.

You can see in the video at first they don’t appear and then after doing a Play All they suddenly display until you kill the app. I have been doing another show today and see the first two files were fine but when I added a further 6 it started doing the same thing.

My device now has 10.2 and this is still broken

In Beta version 10.6…0.5141 this now seems to be working again and all tracks are being displayed.
