No Upcoming Airings Issue - Plex not recording

Server Version#: 4.51.3
Player Version#: All versions has issue
Tuner Make/Model: HD Homerun
Guide/Lineup name:
Using XMLTV?:
Channel number/Name:

DVR scheduling shows no upcoming shows.
Recording Priority shows the show name and below it shows “No Upcoming Airings”.

Tried cancel recording and recording new show. Still same issue.
Based on the last recorded shows, it looks like the issue start last week on 18th march.

Any help to fix this issue is appreciated.

Shows for today

The DVR schedule does not show any shows to be on the recording list and the priority shows no upcoming airings.

Most of the shows are not recording.

it may be a repeat and you have it set to all new episodes. If you set to only new airings then it will only record episodes that show “NEW” in the listing

This could be the same issue as what is posted under the topic “Missing Guide Data” Mine looked like that if I had the recordings set to “HD Only” and my guide looked fine until I updated to the latest Plex version from their website- 1.22.1.4228 I also removed and re-added my dvr and after all of that I started receiving the “Unknown Airing” in the guide just like you see in thie Missing Guide Data topic (If i filtered the guide to HD Channels Only) A quick way to check if it is the same thing is to change your recording setting for one of your shows to “Prefer HD” and see if it shows up in the dvr schedule. - Assuming it is set to HD only right now.

I have similar issue. I want to record a football match which is listed in the guide as “NOS WK-kwalificatie Voetbal 2022”. In the guide it shows the recordings of the 1st and the 2nd half. In the DVR Schedule it will not record the 2nd half.

I have Airings set to “New and Repeat” and record quality to “Prefer HD”.

Yes you are correct. It was set to HD only. Once I changed to Prefer HD. It showed up

This is a temp solution. I hope Plex fixes this issue.

Thank you for your help/

No problem but a solution it is not- just so you know even though it shows up doesn’t mean it will record. My scheduled recording last night didn’t record. It looked like it was going to but it ended up failing telling me to check my tuner. I was able to start recording a different show once it started but it missed a scheduled recording. I think it has to do with the fact it thinks its supposed to be in SD but the show is actually in HD. I don’t know that for sure but if I go to the DVR Schedule and click on any of the shows it says it is SD even though it really isn’t. That was the only logic I could come up with as to why it would fail. I would keep an eye on any recordings you have scheduled and be sure they actually start recording. I havent done any testing today to see if scheduled recordings are now working but I’m guessing they are still broken

I checked mine and all shows have started recording after changing to prefer HD settings.

That’s good. All of mine also recorded last night. Hopefully the one that failed on Tuesday was just a Fluke.

I think it sees things like what you are seeing as repeats that it has already recorded so misses recording it. I’ve had similar with Formula One where it doesnt record the race as its recorded the build up show and i think it saw the race as the same show.

you can set to prefer HD and then force the selection of the HD version of the channel only. That way it records the programme in HD even if the guide isnt reporting it as in HD

Ever since upgrading server to Version 1.22.1.4228 the guide does not show most of the channels as HD (so if you select HD channels only, you get unknown airing). As long as DVR is set to Prefer HD as tsps1981 stated it will record and the recordings are in HD.
The only pain is going thru the guide with all the other channels being displayed since I have not deleted them from my channel lineup.
I updated my guide and that did nothing. I am assuming they will fix the issue in a update soon.

I too am getting the same as described here.
Switching to prefer HD fixed my issue.
I went back into my channel line up and removed duplicate SD channels.

You dont need to delete the SD channels. Just select Prefer HD and then restrict the recording to only happen on a particular channel ie for BBC (UK) force it to use 101 BBC One HD. it ill then record what it thinks is an SD version on channel 101 which will actually be the HD version as it is an HD channel

Too late -they be gone. I don’t need any SD in my life anyway, It’s HD or nothing.
