I’ve been using Plex on my iPad for a long time without any issues. A couple of weeks ago I updated the app and all the sudden when I tried to watch a movie or TV show, I would only get a black screen (no subtitles) and audio. I did some troubleshooting and it appears that if the file is HEVC 10 bit color depth I have a problem, but if it’s HEVC 8 bit color everything is ok. I tried to force transcoding and that didn’t solve the issue. I do not have any issues on my iPhone 17 Pro. I’ve added logs if needed, and below are all the device and PMS details.

Device: iPad15,3 (iPad Air 11” M3), iPadOS 26.3
PMS: 1.43.0.10492 (Docker, HW transcoding works properly)
