Hello since september i don"t have my watching history on plex and i don’t know how to fix it
The Watchlist is an online feature.
To use it, your server and your client need to have internet access to plex.tv
and you need to have “Sync Your Watch State and Ratings” enabled in your account settings.
Your clients needs to be signed in to a plex.tv user account.
Verify that you don’t have an internet filter which restricts access to any of plex’s servers.
Verify the status of “Sync Your Watch State and Ratings” on your account page.

The same page has a setting (“account visibility and activity sharing”) which lets you choose, who exactly can/cannot see the History and other things of your account.

I have everything good on my plex server and client but since beginning of septermber no history
Nothing I mentioned above is a matter of the server.
This seems like a common issue, but I haven’t been able to find a solution. I’ve been experiencing this myself since mid August.

Ever since the end of July/beginning of August (last Watched record for a movie I have is July 28th), after I watch a movie and then rate it, the only Activity that shows up is the “You rated” activity. The “You watched” activity is no longer recorded.
Tv episodes are unaffected and show both watched and rated activities.
The movie is shown as “Watched”, so that’s ok. And Plex Dash has a record in the History tab as well. So I assume somet…

Starting half a year ago my plex server stopped logging activities on media (except “You Watchlisted”), I’ve gone through all of the settings and didn’t find any related setting off.

The watched status is no longer syncing between devices. I do have the two sync settings I’m aware of set to Active/On (Account → Sync Watch State = Active and General → Web Settings Sync = ON). I don’t know if those are all the sync related settings related to this, though.

Starting about a week ago, movies I watch on my server are not being added to My Watch History on my profile page. TV Shows are unaffected/appear correctly.
When I check the pages for TV episodes that I have watched I can see a bubble with my profile image and the words “activity by you” This doesn’t appear on movies that I have watched within the last week (except for maybe 5 movies, I’ve been watching a lot of short films lately, way more than 5 this week.)

Restart your Plex server?
Looks like the code doesn’t handle exceptions properly and when it encounters one it’ll not run VSS again until PMS is restarted. I’ll correct this in a future version. Unfortunately it doesn’t indicate what the exception actually is in the current state.
