Windows server: Version 1.24.5.5173
iOS client: 7.25
I had downloaded a few movies to my device, then via the web interface I deleted these items from the server, so they’re gone from my library. But my downloaded items were not deleted. But since those items are deleted from my library I have no option to actually delete these downloads.
There’s a bug here since if I delete items from my server that deletion should be synced, at the very least give a prompt asking to delete those downloads or not.
There needs to be a way to delete downloaded items when the source library item has been deleted.
I finally found a way to delete the downloads. When you visit Downloads, click on the Items tab, then you can swipe left to get a delete option. It’s confusing and hidden, but it works. There really should be a Delete option when viewing the actual video file. And also an option to “Sync Deletions”.
Keep in mind you’re not necessarily downloading individual movies but this could also be tv-shows or playlists with additional parameters on how many episodes to load etc. You’re not actually downloading the video but the download job. Deleting the download job will remove all related files.
Deleting downloads is also described in the related support article (incl. screenshots) explaining items and library views on the download page.
