I have a Win 10/Linux Mint dual-boot system, and I have the latest versions of Plex running on both. I have had this arrangement for at least a year now. In the past, I could effortlessness switch between the Windows and Linux desktops and my TV app would automatically connect to the presently active server. Once in a while I’d have to click on the Media Server Status button, is all. But now, starting with the latest app update, that’s all old news. Now, if I connect to the Windows server, but then reboot my system into Linux, the app would just sit there dumbfounded and graciously inform me that it can’t find the Windows server. Sure, I can go all the way down the Menu pane and click “more+” and find the Linux server contents, but the home screen would not update, instead displaying the inaccessible contents from the previous (Windows) server. The only way out of this, it seems, is to log out of the app, and re-link. This I have to do every time I choose to change my desktop OS. What’s going on?
