What does this mean when a recording status for a show is ‘no write access to destination’? My Plex app runs on a synology and I have given it full permission to the library folders.
its using an hdhomerun and Im trying to do my first ever recording but am having absolutely NO luck with this plex thing.
Make sure your permissions are applied recursively this will allow permissions to be inherited within your library folders where PLEX is trying to write folders/files
The Plex Media Server log will show exactly why, but you can also ‘sudo plex’ while SSH’d into the Syno to verify you can ‘touch blah’ in those folders if it doesnt error, means the plex user has write access to them.
