"No write access to destination"

My server is Synology DS 1520+. Recently purchase HD home run Flex 4K. I did all settings correctly by the book and always when I start recording I’m receiving no right access to the destination. I give the Plex server all read and write rights and continue to not have right access to the destination. I have a Plex pass.

Please I need the help. I already contacted and check with the HD home run customer support item working perfectly and correctly. I need help to set up correctly recording. I did everything by the book is still not working probably I’m missing something small which I’m not expert to understand what is it. I can find phone number or way how to contact Plex to have help or chat with the customer service. Please help have a great day. Dimo Thanks

When you want to record (write) media on DSM 7, because DSM 7 changed, it’s a little trickier .

  1. Open FileStation

  2. Right-click the shared folder containing the media

  3. Properties

  4. Permissions

  5. Now you’ll see where PlexMediaServer has READ permission

  1. Change to READ/WRITE

  2. Click DONE to return to the main permission control

  3. Check Appy to this folder , sub-folders and files

  4. Click SAVE

Thanks a lot I did all of that yesterday I tried tonight and didn’t work. I just recheck and that everything is look perfectly. I tried to record something new now - it’s still the same problem.

Server Logs are what I need… Pictures don’t show me anything actionable.

Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs.

Hi,
I’m still getting the same error: “NO WRITE ACCES TO THE DESTINATION”
Can you suggest about the account name under witch PLEX is trying to access SYNOLOGY?

On DSM 7, the username is PlexMediaServer.
On DSM 6, the username is plex.
