Imported the Noah (2014) movie by Ray Comfort into Plex. It is automatically recognized as the Noah (2014) with Russell Crowe. When I try to “fix match” and select the correct movie, Plex automatically deletes the listing. Here’s a screenshot video of it. Screencast at January 31st 2024 - 8.mp4 - Droplr
I did the Plex dance three times and it yielded the same result each time. Why is this happening?
How is the file named? Does it sit inside of another folder? If so, how is that folder named?
What type of Plex library have you created? Which metadata agent has been selected in its properties?
Could you possibly already have a “Noah by Ray Comfort” movie in your library already? If you have one already, it’s possible that Plex is merging it with an “existing” copy in your library, which is why it would vanish once you fixed this item.
In the future, you can try to place the imdb tag {imdb-tt3507142} in the filename so Plex will automatically match this copy of Noah to the proper title without manual intervention. (As seen in the second box in this section of the “Naming your Movies” Plex article)
