Not a fan of the new Plex app on iOS: How do we downgrade?

Not perfect

Seems like that just disables it completely instead of just allowing us to not have it on the home screen.

I cant even access my libraries anymore…what a waste of time. Plex are a pack of assholes.

Not sure if it’s me, but Continue Watching, Recently Added Movies and Recently Added in TV Shows… all gone and I can’t see a way of adding them back. So if I’m in the middle of a show and stop watching, I have to go through search to finish playing.

Am i missing the way to re-order add/remove sections on the Home Screen?

iOS 18.5
iPad Air (5th generation)

That is what I did. rolled back my ipad but let iphone stay on new version so I know when it is safe to upgrade ipad.

After the last iphone update, where has my music gone? Does music no longer exist on plex app? Where am I being diverted to? What has happened to my massive collection of downloaded music? I am now told by the iphone app that it doesn’t exist! (That took many, many hours to compile)

Latest update is terrible. There is no listing of recent recordings under Live TV. If I try to use the back-10 seconds button during live TV the screen freezes and then goes bonkers, I cannot see the signal strength under Live TV. How much worse can it get?

Music is in plexamp. Music and photos have been moved to separate apps

I think that’s just you. I have all those on mine.

Yeah, that was one of my first gripes. Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to have you long press the Libraries button at the bottom of the screen that takes you to the Libraries section, to reorder stuff on the home screen… :exploding_head: …how that made sense to anyone, I’ll never understand.

For featuring the Live TV section so prominently, I’m amazed at how borked it is. Also if you swipe out of the Plex app while watching live TV, it will end the stream. It just crashes. So now I can’t listen to the news in the background.

And confirmed that skipping back ten seconds takes it out of full screen playback and due to the locking video playback to landscape (bad) decision, you get stuck in some weird landscape version of the live tv section… yikes.

Ugh, and when you’re in full screen playback mode for live TV this stupid bar never goes away like it’s supposed to. I’m sticking with my original statement of I can’t believe they released this in such a broken state.

Thanks, that does help me in the meantime.

Worst of all for me with new app is that only 3 seasons is visible when you enter a TV show.
I wish I could bring hamburger mode back.
Before I saw 12 seasons before needing to expand hamburger.
Now all seasons is on a long line from left to right only showing 3 at a time as you scroll and that is just stupid as f***.
1 step forward and 3 steps back.

Hola compañero acabo de probar en smartphone android y tampoco me gusta su pantalla de inicio , además no se puede reordenar, y echo en falta el menú lateral para las carpetas, interfaz modernas pero lenta y pocas opciones

Live TV only shows the Plex channels, can’t find how I add my DVR channels? I hardly ever watch the Plex channels, this home page is useless to me.
Can’t see my libraries, long press only locks the screen and unable to use, have to close and restart the app.
And as I stated previously PiP on iPad does not work.
Whole app is very very slow to start streaming any DVR channels and just as slow to start any playing any recorded shows or movies!!!

All I can say is holey cow does the user experience of the new app SUCK. Hit the road this morning went to listen to a video podcast and couldn’t figure it out, tried finding my audio book downloads that I keep as a backup… Gone. This morning I experienced a power outage at my house taking my plex server offline. Meaning I was completely screwed for options. I still cant figure out how to download more than 1 episode of a show at a time.

Overall I will give this a 1/10 rating. Can we PLEASE get the basic functionality that we had in the old player back?

Anybody know of a decent replacement for Plex that’s good for remote stream of media? I don’t need anything fancy. Just something where everything is in one place and that works when I need it to.

I had same issue on home, was missing continue watching and last added. I long held libraries and added a few favorites for some of my local libraries. Then magically, continue watching and last updated sections appeared on home. Buggy, but it worked.

Thank you
Did you test the downloads?
Before they were set into libraries and the migrated downloads are not.
Downloading for me since the update had failed so far?
The question is whether this is the final version of downloads. If it is then it is very disappointing.
