i am trying to get plex to work on my synology ds218+ and i am getting a Not authorized error .i have removed all the registry enterys and have done a full uninstall on my PC.thanks for any help

Plex Media Server version? Displayed in Synology Package Center → Plex Media Server (click on the name, not on “open”) → Installed Version.
DSM version? Synology Control Panel → Info Center.

This applies only when running Plex Media Server on a PC, not on a Synology NAS.
If you want to run Plex Media Server on the NAS, then it is not necessary to install it on your PC. You can completely remove it from the PC if desired. See Plex Documentation → Uninstall Plex Media Server.
i had it on my pc , i uninstalled it. now I’m trying to set it up on my nas.
Make sure you are logged into the NAS as your admin user before installing Plex on the NAS, if you don’t, then the installation will be owned by the user you are logged in as.
That can cause issues when adding files and performing other tasks related to the Plex server if you are not conscious of it.
Also, make sure your media files on the NAS have the proper permissions to allow Plex to read/write your files etc.
Also, make sure you download the correct Plex installer for the version of DSM you are running on the NAS.
For DSM 6.x.x use the Plex installer for DSM 6.
For DSM up to7.2.1 use the Plex installer for DSM 7.
For DSM 7.2.2 or above use the Plex installer for DSM 7.2.2+.
