Hello,
My plex recently stopped being accessible inexplicably.
Windows 10 x64
Version 1.9.5.4339
I have tried all the troubleshooting steps listed here , to no avail. I even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling the server software. I also tried connecting the server to my phones hotspot to rule out issues with my DSL connection. I couldn’t find a setting for jumbo packets in my NIC settings, so I don’t think that even a possible problem in my case. Its not a double NAT issue as my public IP matches what is shown in my router. i tried a manual prot forward for 32400-32500 also. nothing has worked.
nokdim,
Unfortunately, I’ve tried all sorts of variations of these procedures and nothing works! Attached are the screen shots showing all the proof that I set up manual port forwarding correctly. WAN port 32400 didnt work, so I tried 35000 for kicks. still nothing.
I even went as far as purchasing a brand new Laptop, installing Plex Server and got the SAME RESULTS whether tethered directly though my phone via USB with all other NICs disabled, or thru my DSL router with manual port forwarding, UPnP, etc.
I have to suspect the issue is tied to my user account somehow, right? Can you please
help?
the log file won’t help.
with the above configuration (your local IP/port 192.168.0.52:34200, linked to your router’s public port 35000)… can you access this from the outside without using Plex?
you can find this out with various check homepages (e.g. https://www.infobyip.com/tcpportchecker.php)… enter your public IP and port 35000.
also… have you checked if your own router / some other active network component might be filtering the network access and blocking your local port 32400?
Why do you have 32400 and 35000 on your config above? As tom80H mentioned you need to verify this from a service like canyouseeme.org and once that shows success check it again.
I finally just got a new modem/router from CenturyLink and now remote access works perfectly. I didnt have to touch anything. Clearly I had malfunctioning hardware. Thanks everyone for your helpful attempts.
