Hey all,
I have a dell with spectrum internet but i cant get my system to go to the outside network. Im not a techie by any means. But it was working fine for a long time and approx. 2 weeks ago it decided it was time to stop. The "Manually specify public port " is set at 32400 and when I click the “retry” button it turns green for about 5-10min and then back to red and not avail to outside network again.
I’ve been reading the forums trying to navigate between English and the different alien languages talking about Nats, WAnS, Double-NATs and bridges among others. I have no idea what these letters stand for or what they mean or what I’m suppose to do. I understand Plex doesn’t have any support phone #s or anything, because … I mean, who needs support, but does anyone know what I’m suppose to do here or what button I’m suppose to press or what configuration I need to turn it back to green please? I believed in it and bought the life time pass but perhaps there’s a different definition for “lifetime” than the one I’m use to. Need some help here guys cause I’m stuck. Reading these forums for a 2 weeks now but I don’t where the error lies to look for it cause - unfortunately - I’m not a programmer. Any assistance would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys
this thread got good info relatively easy to follow Media-Server Remote Access - "Not available outside of your network" - #71 by tom80H
If you’ve set up a manual port forward, have you tried disabling UPnP in your router as well?
Once this is done I would power cycle the router to ensure the changes are set properly.
