No matter what i do it keeps saying Not available outside your network, router has upnp everything is set right but it keeps saying this no matter what i do. how do i fix this?
Before getting into troubleshooting… can you try to establish a manual port forward with your router? While UPnP can be useful it’s hard to troubleshoot and can be unreliable at times.
The manual port forward should be configured like this:
Parameter
Value
Remark
Protocol
TCP
Public Port
<port of your choice>
should be in the range between 20000 and 50000 but you can also use other valid non-conflicting numbers
Local IP
<IP of the PMS>
your PMS should have a static local IP address
Private Port
32400
Don’t forget to check Manually specify public port in the Plex remote access configuration and set the public port to the public port specified in the router port forward configuration.
Once this is done, check if you can access your router’s public IP address on the specified public port from outside your home network (you can e.g. use a service such as canyouseeme.org):
If you can see/access the public IP/port, the issue is most likely between your router and the PMS
If you cannot see/access the public IP/port, the issue is most likely between your ISP and the router (e.g. ISP blocking certain ports, not giving you a routable IPv4 IP address…)
never ever did that before and i been using plex for YEARS! this just started nothing has changed…and i just checked i was in the car going somethere was at a RED light and it connected yet server says Not available outside your network.
Its def a buf on Plex’s side because like i said 1. never did this beofe so they messed something up bad…and 2. i was able to connect not connected to my homes network and using celluar service far from my house…
Update #2. Im now logged in at my works computer of course on a different network because its at work. and im able to connect and watch my movies yet till says Not available outside your network…server does say Indirect what ever that means.
