Not available outside my network

Server Version#:Version 1.43.0.10389
Player Version#:
for a few months now I’m having issues with my Server that I can’t reach from outside my home. My router has not changed and network settings still same. I have enabled Port routing and have confirmed that UPnP are enabled. But when I enable it it stays on for a few seconds and goes back to disabled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ignore the brief green status. That’s just Plex displaying the green indicator while testing the status.

You just need one… if you’re having trouble, I strongly recommend going with a manual port forward.
Also, verify the forward is working!! You can do that using a service like canyouseeme.org — that’s also helpful to confirm the public IP recognized matches the WAN IP of your router and the public IP seen in the Plex remote access settings.

There’s also a guide with some more details on how to troubleshoot remote access issues.

I’m really confused it worked for one day using port forwarding and then the next morning it’s not working. My router setting is saved. I have no clue man.

I’ve been struggling with exactly the same problem for three weeks. Unfortunately, despite everyone’s best efforts, I’m no closer to finding a solution. I’ve read everything I can, followed every suggested approach, rebooted, reinstalled but the remote access only stays available for a very short period of time.

I had to give up using Plex when away from home.

Do you mean the port forward is no longer working or remote access is just failing after one day?
If the second… do you have an IP reservation for the machine hosting your PMS in your home network? Sounds like DHCP might have reassigned the server’s IP and therefore the forwarding no longer working?

I resolved my issue it was a double NAT. I had ISP router and then I had my router over it. The port forwarding wasn’t being done properly because first router didn’t bring it to my other router. I turned of uPNP and enable the port forwarding on the first router to my other router’s IP and it worked.

Solved thanks. Was double NAT situation. I thought my firs tISP router was bridge mode but it wasn’t all good now.

Unless you have a reason to have UPnP enabled, disable it… (witch op did, but to explain why read following)
