I can’t figure our why some new episodes aren’t detected correctly even though they have the same naming as the others. Some show up under “recently released”, but not when I enter the show. Any idea how to fix this?
What’s that naming? Can you provide a screenshot or some of the actual Show folder, Season folder, and Episode file names?
While we’re waiting for more info, do you also happen to have this show in multiple libraries? Like, for example, a TV DVR library for recorded shows, and the same show (earlier episodes) with all the commercials stripped and video re-encoded?

I’ve used the same naming structure as always, in this case: Australian Survivor - 9x01.
In a folder called Australian Survivor.
New episodes appear as recently added, but not under the show. I just sorted my tv show library, and Australian Survivor showes up as two different shows. I merged them and now they all appear correctly. Hopefully this will work on future episodes.

This sounds to me as if you recently converted your tv shows library to use the new agent, but failed to complete the conversion by Refreshing Metadata of the while library. https://support.plex.tv/articles/migrating-a-tv-library-to-use-the-new-plex-tv-series-agent-scanner/

Hi, i have a almost similar issue. i try to add the Season “Landscapers” using the following name-convetiontion Mainfolder: Landscapers {imdb-tt11471892} - Subfolder: Season01 -Filenames: Landscapers - S01E01 - Episodename.mkv
The folder is added to plex but not shown in the libary or anywhere…
Did i make a mistake?
Most likely because Landscapers is show and not a movie and imdb ids are not good for shows. I would suggest renaming to Landscapers (2021) {tmdb-113987} or Landscapers (2021) {tvdb-375516} so the plex matching system can get it correct. Also confirm you have your media in a TV library and not a Movie library.
I tried both version and rename the folder and the files but it still not work.
the folder is a “series” and it workes fine for all the other series.
Could you plex dance it just to be sure. Might be something funky with the imdb being used previously which the dance should sort out.
If it’s still failing after that please upload a copy of your server logs so we can take a look.
it works for 76 Series and now i should reset everything? i am not stupid!
It tooked days to altenate/correct the metadata for 1500 films, 3500 Dokumentations an manualy
this is not my failure, its an plex issue
No, just plex dance this one show. Not everything.
Also confirm it’s in a TV Library and not a movie library. TV shows will be ignored by plex if you have it in a movie library.

but it will delete all metadata for the folder “Serie” where my series are insert

First, I can see in your logs the show is being scanned …

Second, I see you included the id in the filename …

You should not do that and I wonder if that could be causing problems. Rename them like this Landscapers (2021) - S01E01 - Die Rückkehr.mkv
Third, and most importantly and this is most likely your issue the episode names have a typo in them. They are E01E01 and should be S01E01 which is most likely why plex is not seeing them.
