Not showing a subfolder in a specific library

Not sure if this is the correct spot to plop this question, but here goes:

I have all my audio files in my iTunes Media folder so I can throw it on my phone when needed, but because of this, my audiobooks are visible in my Plex “Music” library.

I’d love to be able to exclude that folder from my “Music” library so I could have a seperate library specifically for “Audiobooks”.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

You can use .plexignore files to tell Plex to ignore certain files or directories. That being said, you won’t be able to use the same folder structure / plexignore files to split media into different libraries.

They should probably just be in different folders to achieve what you want…

/volume1/media/music

/volume1/media/aubiobooks

Music library contains ‘music’ folder, audiobook library contains ‘audiobooks’ folder
