I had to reinstall my Truenas. I just installed the most recent Plex app again. It runs and appears fine, I can log in. However I can’t do anything because my Plex server… doesn’t show my Plex server?
Seriously, I do not know how to explain. When I go to Settings-General in my Plex server web app there are no Plex servers listed, I can’t set anything up or do anything.
In order to complete the setup you need to open your Plex Media Server through its local IP.
If you’re on the same device… open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If you’re on a different machine inside your home network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead. This will bring up a wizard/dialog where you can name your server and link it to your Plex account (as well as creating your first libraries).
Once you “claimed” your server (=linked it to your Plex account), you’ll also be able to access it from other Plex apps or via http://app.plex.tv/desktop.
If you are running TrueNAS Core (FreeBSD) with plex in a jail, you will need to use the IP address of the jail, not a loopback IP. If you installed via a plugin there should be a link on the plugins page that says Manage.
