I have Plex Media server on my NAS drive in my home local area network. Plex works fine on my Android phone and Android TV. However, it doesn’t work on Android Table and ask for Plexpass. I am on same network wifi and also singed in with the same account. why is it asking for Plexpass for Tablet while working perfectly fine without Plexpass on Android TV and Android Phone
connected on the same wifi.
The Plex apps on for big screen devices tend to be free while those for mobile devices (such as Android phones and tablets) are not. You can unlock them individually (one-time payment within the respective app store environment) – alternatively the unlock is included in a Plex Pass membership.
If Plex is currently working on your Android phone you might already have made that in-app purchase. In that case… check if your Tablet is using the same Google Play account → if it does you should be able to restore the purchase from within the Plex app on your tablet and be good.
