I’ve got an odd problem, I want to play all my local files without transcoding but everything is transcoding.
What I have found is that if I correctly set my Shield 4k60hz and set plex app to use refresh rate matching, when I play a movie it correctly switches to 4k23.796 and plays the movie but transcodes so there is lots of buffering. If however I manually set my NVIDIA sheild to 4k23,976 before playing the video it plays it fine, there seems to be a bug where PLEX prefresh rate switches where it not recognising the TV has switched or something.
But it only does this with TRUEHD files, what gives?
