I know that mobile devices have the ability to download Plex content to watch offline, but the Nvidia Shield TV does not have this option. Since the Pro version takes USB storage and the standard version takes microSD card storage I don’t see why this isn’t an option. I think it would be really nice to have when vacationing somewhere for the holidays and don’t want to transcode certain movies/shows or worry about internet issues with where you’re going.
Is this something that can be implemented or is there a reason this hasn’t happened yet?
There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to download media to Android TV streaming boxes (incl. the Shield). I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’ve missed some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
