Hello,
As the topic states, I recently enabled 2FA on my account and enabled the option to sign out of all devices. I was able to connect back to my account on my Shield / phone / web app just fine. But I cannot view any content at all, receiving an error
On web:
Playback Error
An error occurred trying to play “CONTENTNAME”.
Error code: s1001 (Network)
On Shield:
Error
An error occured while attempting to play this video. please check your connection and try again
I have really been chasing this for several days now, nuking the server and trying to restart all over. I have tried so many different things, but no matter what happens the error keeps coming up. It doesnt matter which device I use.
I have my media on 3 separate external hard drives connected to the Shield, all of which were working fine before the 2FA enabling. To make things simpler, I just have one drive added right now while trying to figure things out.
Hopefully someone can help because all of the many things I have tried have failed so far.
I found something in the logs that may help. It is saying something about CERT: Incomplete TLS Handshake from ______________ sslv3 alert certificate unknown
I may have figured it out now… I removed everything from the Authorized Devices page… the first test worked. Now I am adding all of my libraries and will wait for it to all update and try again.
Man this is so frustrating. So the show that I tested was working on the Shield using Plex (on an external hard drive), again have the media server on the Shield.
So I added folders from the other drives to Movies and TV Shows. After the TV Shows were added, I tested using app.Plex.tv on my windows computer and it didnt work, same network issue.
So I went and tested back on the Shield and a couple of shows played. I figured I would wait for the whole library to be updated and then try again, but at least playing through the Shield was working.
Just came back and now nothing is playing through the web app or through the Shield, even the shows that were playing before. It’s like me adding the folders from my extra drives is messing it up. I dont understand this because everything was fine before turning on 2FA. Please help!
Can you see if there are any of the logs from server on the shield. There is info here on how to access the storage on the shield directly from your computer and access the log file from server
