Today i started having an issue with Plex on my Nvidia Shield. I currently have the shield updated to 9.0.1 and have been for at least a week now. Today I started getting an error when trying to play a movie.

All files show this. I cleared cache, cleared data, reistalled plex server and plex app. No changes. Nothing has changed since yesterday with my files when everything was working normally. Any recommendations?
Have you checked the files are availeble on your shield. Where are these files, drive connected to the Shield, Nas, another computer? If all your files are giving you this error, it sound like where ever your media is stored it is no longer accesable from the Shield so you need to start there.
OK, you did not answer my question, can you access the media on the drive from the shield directly? It may be that the drive failed so you need to make sure that the files are accesable. You can install a file explorer on the shield if you don’t have one.
OK, check your Plex Server permissions and make sure it is allowed access to the file system. It may be that your shield updated to the latest version and the permissions need to be updated due to new security features in the new update.
Well you might double check, If you can access the files from a file explorer then plex should be able to as well. The only thing that would prevent that is if Plex config got messed up or Plex is not allowed access to the file system I assume the latter. I do not run the server on my Shield and not sure if the server and client are under one app or separate.
I did and it was all allowed permissions. This was an issue with the last shield update so i am thinking its something on their end. I have reached out to nvidia to see if they have suggestions.
