Hi, I have had my Plex Media Server installed on an old laptop and I’ve just bought a new Nvidia Shield Pro. I’m trying to set up the Shield with my server and I’ve got the Plex app running on the shield. When I try to set up the libraries by logging in to the app.plex.tv/web, from another computer, I’m getting an error message that says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SHIELD Android TV” securely”. I saw on a reddit forum that someone else had this issue and it was fixed by getting their certificate reset at Plex’s end. The Nvidia Shield is brand new. I’m a bit of a Plex novice myself so hopefully any fix is a simple one. I have my files on a hard drive which is connected to my router and I’ve already mounted that to the Shield, I just can’t get into the server to direct it to there.
Is there any reason why I’m not getting any replies? Is this simply because it’s the Xmas break?

You’ll probably need to review your server’s network settings (Settings > [Server Name] > Network). If you’re having trouble to connect through the hosted web app, you should still be able to access the server locally, using the SHIELD’s local IP address → http://[SHIELD IP address]:32400/web. If you’re having trouble to connect to the server securely using the local IP, make sure to use http instead of https.

Thank you very much. Yes, sorry, I posted multiple times for the same issue because I wasn’t sure that I was doing it right since no one was responding but lots of other posts were being replied to.
Accessing via the local IP address worked and allowed me to get the new server set up. I can also now access the server through the web app, although I have an orange exclamation icon beside the server name and is says “indirect” under the server name. I’m not sure if that matters at all though. I can access my movies on my TV via the plex app which is my main concern.
