Hi guys, So I have a plex pass membership and had plex server setup on my desktop below. I recently moved my server to a dedicated nvidia shield device with a 500 GB ssd drive via usb 3.0. It took a long while for everything to update and get going.
Maybe I never noticed it but now I cannot see trailers for all the movie media i have. I have the option under extra to Include Cinema Trailers from movies in my library for all movies.
This is the only option i see and am at a loss why i cant see trailers on the web, streaming device or phone.
Can someone advise where I need to check for this?
Then in each player app you need to tell it how many trailers to play before a movie for that player. On the Android TV player on shield it is the Experience row
As you can see there is trailer on desktop that can be selected but on shield there is not. So I must be missing something. The shield has no trailers or extras at all.
the online streaming trailers are added by plex movie agent.
in your server agent settings for your shield. assuming your shields movie library uses the Plex Movie agent. select its preference by the gear icon and make sure. “Find trailers and extras automatically” is enabled. if it was not, after enabling you will need to refresh metadata for that library
Since I have your attention. I know there is a way to identify duplicate files/media on the server. Is there a way to filter out media that does not match? Meaning the name does not match anything it can find and I would have to fix the match. Is there any way to filter those items out? Like you have for duplicate?
